JALANDHAR, October 19, 2026: Nursery students at Innocent Hearts School stepped into the spotlight with colourful performances as the school organised its ‘SPOTLIGHT – Solo Dance and Fancy Dress’ programme at the Green Model Town and Loharan campuses.
The event was designed to give young students an opportunity to perform independently on stage while developing confidence, creativity and self-expression. Children participated in solo dance performances as well as fancy-dress presentations built around themes that were both entertaining and educational.
At the Green Model Town campus, Grade VIII student and young actor Swastik Bhagat attended the Solo Dance programme with his parents as guests of honour. According to the school, Swastik began acting at the age of four and has since appeared in more than 20 commercials and film projects.
The Fancy Dress programme at the campus was attended by Grade III student Prisha Sharma, popularly known as ‘Pihu Ji’, along with her parents. The school said Prisha has established a significant presence as a child actor and social-media creator and was recognised with an Influencer Award in 2026.
The Nursery students presented a variety of themes including ‘When I Grow Up’, ‘Superheroes Around Us’, ‘Save Our Planet’ and ‘Healthy Me, Happy Me’. Through costumes, expressions and short stage presentations, the children interpreted the themes in their own creative ways.
At the Loharan campus, artist and HMV College Design Head Dr Rakhi Mehta attended the programme as guest of honour. Students there also presented solo dance performances and imaginative fancy-dress acts before parents and school representatives.
The activities drew an enthusiastic response from parents, who watched the children perform on stage and encouraged them throughout the programme.
Dr Palak Gupta Bowry, Director CSR, Innocent Hearts Group, said such activities were intended to identify and nurture individual abilities from an early age. She emphasised that giving children opportunities to perform helps build confidence, creativity and communication skills alongside classroom learning.
The programme concluded with the school highlighting its focus on providing young learners with opportunities beyond academics and encouraging them to express their individual interests and abilities.
