JALANDHAR October 13, 2026 : Innocent Hearts Schools marked Dussehra across their campuses with a series of cultural and educational activities designed to introduce students to the values and traditions associated with the festival.

The celebrations were organised at the Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.-Jandiala Road, Noorpur Road and Kapurthala Road campuses, with students from different age groups taking part in activities based on the Ramayana and the broader message of the victory of good over evil.

For the youngest students from Nursery to UKG, the programme focused on introducing the meaning of Dussehra through colourful and age-appropriate festive activities. The children were encouraged to understand the festival not only as a traditional celebration but also as a lesson in making positive choices.

Students of Grades I and II participated in an activity titled “The Ayodhya Adventures,” which introduced them to characters and episodes from the Ramayana through an interactive learning format. The activity was aimed at encouraging imagination, expression and confidence among the young learners.

Grades III and IV presented a puppet show titled “Good Always Wins.” Through puppetry and narration, students recreated the story of Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and highlighted the larger message that truth and righteousness ultimately prevail.

Grade V students explored the Ramayana through storytelling sessions and short dramatic performances. Their presentations focused on values such as courage, honesty, devotion, respect and responsibility.

The school said the purpose of the celebrations was to help students connect cultural traditions with values that remain relevant in everyday life. Rather than limiting the programme to festive entertainment, the activities were designed to encourage children to reflect on the importance of overcoming negative behaviour and standing by what is right.

The Dussehra celebrations concluded with students taking away a broader understanding of the festival’s cultural significance and its message of choosing truth, goodness and righteousness.
