Jalandhar, October 6, 2026: A two-wheeler was stolen in broad daylight from one of Jalandhar’s busy commercial areas, with the entire incident captured on a CCTV camera installed near the spot.

The incident took place at around 11:30 am in Attari Bazaar, where a shopkeeper had parked his Activa outside his shop near Panj Pyara Gurdwara Sahib. The stolen vehicle bears registration number PB-08-FG-4836.

CCTV footage from the market reportedly shows two men arriving on another Activa. One of them gets down near the shop while the other remains on the vehicle.

Moments later, the man who had stepped down approaches the parked Activa and leaves the spot with it. The shopkeeper reportedly noticed the theft and tried to chase the suspects, but they managed to get away.

The victim informed police soon after the incident. Police personnel reached the market, recorded his statement and began examining the available CCTV footage to identify those involved and trace the stolen vehicle.

The shopkeeper has also raised concern over repeated vehicle thefts in the market and claimed that several similar incidents have taken place in the area in the past. Those broader claims will require verification through police records.

At the time of publication, police had not announced any arrest or confirmed recovery of the stolen Activa. The investigation remains underway, with CCTV footage expected to play an important role in identifying the suspects.
