Jalandhar athlete Gurindervir Singh has earned a bronze medal as part of the 400-metre mixed relay competition at the 2026 Asian Games.
According to Punjabi Jagran, Gurindervir, who hails from the Bhogpur area of Jalandhar, was part of the relay effort that finished on the podium at the continental sporting event. His coach Sarabjit Singh Happy confirmed the achievement. Punjabi Jagran
The medal comes after Gurindervir also competed in the 100-metre event at the Asian Games. He recorded a time of 10.32 seconds in his heat and finished fifth. Punjabi Jagran
The Jalandhar sprinter has represented India at several major competitions. Earlier in 2026, he competed at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. He has also attracted national attention for his performances in Indian athletics.
His latest Asian Games medal is particularly significant for Jalandhar and the Bhogpur region, where the athlete has trained under coach Sarabjit Singh Happy.
Gurindervir's performances have established him among the prominent sprinters representing Punjab on the international athletics stage.
