Jalandhar, September 30, 2026: Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid obeisance at the revered Siddh Shaktipeeth Shri Devi Talab Mandir in Jalandhar on Wednesday during his visit to Punjab.
After reaching Jalandhar, Shah visited the temple complex and offered prayers at the historic Tripurmalini shrine, seeking blessings before proceeding to his scheduled programme in the city. The shrine, located within the Shri Devi Talab Mandir complex, is regarded as one of the prominent religious sites in the region.
Security arrangements around the temple had been strengthened ahead of the Union Home Minister’s visit. Security personnel and Punjab Police teams carried out checks in and around the temple premises as part of the preparations for the high-profile visit.
Following the temple visit, Shah proceeded towards the venue of the BJP’s programme in Jalandhar connected with the conclusion of the party’s “Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra.” The campaign, launched earlier in September, had travelled through different parts of Punjab before its concluding programme in Jalandhar.
The Union Home Minister’s visit to Shri Devi Talab Mandir attracted considerable attention in the city, with extensive arrangements made around the temple and along his scheduled route.
