Jalandhar, October 15, 2026: Jalandhar Mayor and Jalandhar North Assembly constituency in-charge Vaneet Dhir inaugurated an Aam Aadmi Clinic in Ward No. 22 at Baldev Nagar, with the facility aimed at bringing basic healthcare services closer to residents of the area.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhir said the Punjab government is working to make healthcare facilities more accessible to the public. He said the opening of the clinic in Baldev Nagar would allow local residents to access routine medical consultation and essential health services closer to their homes.

The clinic is expected to particularly benefit residents who otherwise have to travel longer distances for treatment of common illnesses and basic medical needs. The initiative is part of the government's broader network of neighbourhood-level clinics intended to make primary healthcare easier to access.

Along with the clinic inauguration, several infrastructure-related works were also taken forward in Jalandhar North. Traffic lights were made operational on Dhogri Road as part of efforts to improve traffic management and road safety in the area.

Development works related to roads and the Trikoni Park in Ward No. 77, Aman Nagar, were also initiated. The projects are aimed at improving local roads and providing cleaner and better-maintained public spaces for residents, including children and senior citizens.

Dhir said development work across Jalandhar North is being carried out according to the requirements of different neighbourhoods, covering healthcare, traffic management, roads and other basic civic facilities.

He added that the Municipal Corporation and concerned departments would continue working on projects intended to improve public facilities and address day-to-day civic issues faced by residents across the city.
