Chandigarh, October 13: The Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has announced a fresh round of organisational appointments, naming convenors and co-convenors for 29 state-level cells with immediate effect.
The appointments have been made with the approval of Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon. According to the organisational announcement issued by State Cells Coordinator Bikramjit Singh Cheema, the exercise is aimed at streamlining the functioning of different party cells and strengthening the organisation across various sections of society.
Among the key appointments, Vineet Joshi of S.A.S. Nagar has been appointed Convenor of the Media Cell. Rajinder Singh Marwaha of Amritsar Sahib has been given charge of the Trade Cell, while Jaspreet Singh Hobby has been appointed its Co-Convenor.
Advocate N.K. Sharma of Mohali has been appointed Convenor of the Legal Cell. Retired IAS officer Gurjot Malhi of Nawanshahr has been given responsibility for the Ex-Officio Cell, while P.K.S. Bhardwaj of Sangrur/Chandigarh will head the Intellectual Cell.
Rohit Kumar Aggarwal of Jagraon has been appointed Convenor of the Rice Trade Cell, Rajesh Kumar Mishra of Ludhiana will lead the Purvanchal Cell, and Dr. Seemant Garg of Moga has been named Convenor of the Medical Cell.
Hobby Dhaliwal of Patiala has been appointed Convenor of the Cultural Cell, while Colonel Subhash Dadwal of Pathankot will head the Ex-Servicemen Cell. Gurtej Singh Jhanjeri of Sangrur has been given responsibility for the Transport Cell and Kimti Rawal of Ludhiana has been appointed Convenor of the RTI Cell.
Rajinder Mahajan of Amritsar Sahib has been appointed Convenor of the Industry Cell. Kapil Aggarwal of Amritsar Sahib and Bobby Jindal of Ludhiana have been named Co-Convenors of the same cell.
Chamkila Singh of Patiala Rural South has been appointed Convenor of the G Ram G Cell, while Manjit Singh Buttar of Moga will head the DNT Cell. Sanjeev Tiwari of Mohali has been appointed Convenor of the UP Cell and Ashwani Kumar Sharma of Amritsar Sahib has been given charge of the Trade Union Cell.
Dr. Rajiv Ahuja of Ferozepur has been appointed Convenor of the Divyang Shakti Cell, while Dr. Sanjeev Sachdeva of Fazilka will head the Arhtiya Cell.
Amarjit Singh of Mohali has been appointed Convenor of the Punjab Pradesh Adhiatmik Sansthawan Sampark Cell. Raja Singh of Mohali and Sant Pradeepanand of Bathinda have been appointed Co-Convenors of the cell.
The party has also appointed Sanjeev Atwal of Amritsar Sahib as Convenor of the Majdoor Cell and Gurwinder Singh Jolly of Ludhiana as Convenor of the Sports Cell.
Kamaljeet Singh Hayre of Jalandhar has been given responsibility for the NRI Cell, while Ranjit Singh Hira of Khanna has been appointed Convenor of the MSME Cell.
Amit Dogra of Ludhiana will head the Himachal Cell, while Samrta Kaur of Ludhiana has been appointed Convenor of the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Cell.
Atul Sharma of Mohali has been named Convenor of the Cooperative Cell, Manjinder Singh Romy of Mohali will lead the NGO Cell, and Deepanshu Ghai of Pathankot has been appointed Convenor of the Publicity Cell.
The BJP said the appointments take effect immediately and are intended to improve coordination across its specialised cells while expanding the party’s organisational outreach in Punjab.
