Mumbai, October 19, 2026: Police have made a major breakthrough in the investigation into the firing at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s vehicle, with three suspects being caught in Rajasthan’s Kota within hours of the incident.

Two adult suspects were arrested while a third person, who is a juvenile, was detained in accordance with the legal procedure applicable to minors. The juvenile’s identity is being withheld.

The three were intercepted while travelling aboard the Pune–Jaipur Express after Mumbai Police shared information about their movements with Rajasthan authorities. A joint police operation was subsequently launched at Kota railway station.

Investigators had been tracking the suspects through CCTV footage and other technical information collected after the attack in Mumbai. Their movements after leaving the city helped police trace the train on which they were travelling.

The firing took place on Sunday evening when Tiger Shroff was leaving the Juhu area in his vehicle. Several shots were fired towards the car before those involved fled from the scene.

Tiger Shroff escaped without a gunshot injury. His driver and another person nearby were injured during the incident and received medical treatment.

Police recovered a motorcycle believed to have been used during the escape and are examining CCTV footage from different locations to reconstruct the movements of those involved before and after the firing.

According to the police investigation so far, two of those detained are suspected of directly participating in the firing, while the third allegedly assisted in the operation. These remain police allegations and will have to be established through evidence during the legal process.

Investigators are now focusing on whether anyone else helped plan or coordinate the attack. Police are also examining how the suspects obtained information about the actor’s movements and whether the incident involved advance surveillance.

A social-media claim linking the firing to an organised crime group is also being examined. Police have not treated such online claims alone as proof and are working to establish any possible connection through independent evidence.

The suspects caught in Kota are expected to be brought under Mumbai Police custody after completion of the required legal formalities.

The investigation remains active, with police working to identify any other people who may have played a role in planning, financing or facilitating the incident.
