NEW DELHI, October 11, 2026: CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, along with Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, has been released following preventive proceedings in Delhi, with authorities imposing conditions requiring the three to maintain peace and good behaviour for the next one year.
According to information available in the case, the three were released after furnishing a ₹50,000 surety bond. The condition attached to their release requires them to avoid conduct that could disturb public order during the specified one-year period.
Dipke, Das and Ranka had been taken into preventive custody on October 10 after arriving in Delhi in connection with a proposed protest at Jantar Mantar.
Police had initiated proceedings under Sections 126 and 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), provisions used in preventive situations where authorities apprehend a possible breach of peace or public order.
The three were subsequently produced before the Special Executive Magistrate Court, where the conditions for their release were considered.
After the proceedings, they were allowed to leave on furnishing the required surety bond and accepting the one-year condition relating to peace and good behaviour.
The proposed protest was connected with issues raised by CJP regarding the electoral process and the Special Intensive Revision exercise. These claims remain political and procedural allegations and should not be treated as established wrongdoing unless supported by findings from the competent constitutional or judicial authorities.
The preventive action against the three leaders does not amount to a criminal conviction. Such proceedings are intended to address concerns relating to law and order and do not by themselves establish that the individuals committed a criminal offence.
Following their release, attention is now likely to shift to CJP’s next course of action and whether the group proceeds with any further protest programme in Delhi.
The one-year condition means the three leaders are expected to maintain peace and good behaviour during the period covered by the bond. Any future proceedings would depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
The release has brought the immediate preventive custody episode to an end, but the wider political issues raised by CJP are expected to remain part of the ongoing public debate.
