NEW DELHI, October 23, 2026: Fans of Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh have received the news they had been waiting for, with his much-anticipated Delhi concert now receiving police clearance. The show is scheduled to take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30 as part of Diljit’s AURA India Tour.

The approval comes after uncertainty surrounding the event over the past day. Permission for the concert had initially been withheld amid security and law-and-order concerns, raising questions over whether the Delhi performance would be able to go ahead as planned.

The situation changed after discussions were held between police officials and the concert organisers. A revised plan covering security, crowd movement, traffic management and other safety arrangements was submitted for consideration.

Following a fresh review of those arrangements, permission was granted for the October 30 event, clearing the way for preparations at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to continue.

Additional safety measures are expected to be put in place for the large gathering. These include increased deployment of private security personnel, stronger crowd-control arrangements and additional entry and exit facilities to ensure smoother movement of concertgoers.

Traffic management around the stadium is also expected to form an important part of the arrangements, particularly because a large number of fans are likely to travel to the venue on the day of the concert.

The clearance comes as a major relief for Diljit’s fans, many of whom had already booked tickets and were waiting for clarity after questions emerged over the event’s permission.

The Delhi performance is part of Diljit Dosanjh’s AURA India Tour, which will take the singer to several major cities across the country following his international performances.

The Delhi event is currently scheduled for Friday, October 30, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The official event listing remains active, confirming that preparations for the performance are moving ahead.

Fans attending the concert are expected to receive venue-specific instructions regarding entry timings, permitted items, access gates and traffic arrangements closer to the event.

With police clearance now in place, the uncertainty surrounding the Delhi show has ended and attention will shift to final preparations for one of the most anticipated Punjabi music events in the capital this year.
