Mumbai, October 18, 2026: Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff was caught up in a firing incident in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening, triggering concern over the safety of celebrities in the city. According to police statements reported by media outlets, Shroff escaped without any gunshot injuries, while his driver and an autorickshaw driver were reportedly injured in the incident.
The firing was reported near Pushpa Park, within the jurisdiction of Juhu Police Station in Mumbai’s western suburbs. Initial reports indicate that unidentified assailants opened fire at a vehicle associated with the actor. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and working to identify those responsible.
Mumbai Police confirmed that Shroff was safe and had not suffered any gunshot injuries. Officials said the investigation was underway, with investigators examining available evidence and CCTV footage to establish the sequence of events.
The incident has also drawn attention after a social media message attributed to individuals allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the firing. The message reportedly included threats directed at people in the film industry. However, the authenticity of the claim and the alleged connection to the shooting require verification by investigators. No gang involvement should be treated as established fact unless confirmed by the authorities.
The attack has renewed concerns about the security of public figures and the risks posed by armed violence in crowded urban neighbourhoods. Investigators will need to establish the motive, identify the assailants and determine whether the actor was specifically targeted.
Further details about the incident, the condition of the injured individuals and the identities of those involved are expected as the investigation progresses.
The Jalandhar Times will continue to follow the case as verified information becomes available.
