Jalandhar, October 31: Former Jalandhar Mayor and Punjab BJP Vice President Rakesh Rathour has intensified the party's public outreach activities in the Central Assembly constituency ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections. As part of the initiative, meetings are being organised across different wards to strengthen the party's organisation and connect with local residents.

Two meetings were recently held in Ward No. 67 at the residence of ward in-charge Sanjay Arora and in Ward No. 70 at the residence of Rajiv. Party workers and local residents participated in discussions on the upcoming Assembly elections, booth-level organisational expansion and efforts to bring more people into the BJP.

Addressing the meetings, Rathour said the 2027 Assembly election would be important for Punjab's future, development and security. He criticised the present state government and claimed that people were looking for development, good governance and an accountable administration.

Rathour said BJP workers would maintain regular contact with residents rather than limiting their public outreach to election periods. He added that the party intended to take the welfare schemes and achievements of the Narendra Modi-led Central Government to households across the constituency.

Emphasising the importance of the party organisation, Rathour said efforts would be made to strengthen the BJP at the grassroots level through regular interaction with workers and residents in every ward of the Central Assembly constituency.

He expressed confidence that the party would emerge as a strong political alternative in Punjab in the 2027 Assembly elections, citing the efforts of party workers and support from the public.

Former BJP Jalandhar district president Raman Pabbi, district vice-president Manish Vij, Sanjeev Sharma Mani, Mayank Vyas, Raju Kashyap, Naresh Sharma and Naresh Diwan were among those present at the meetings, along with other party workers and local residents.
