Mumbai, October 1, 2026: Reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa is officially returning for a second season following the strong response to its first outing, bringing viewers back inside the high-pressure jail with a fresh group of contestants, new secrets and another round of unpredictable challenges.
The upcoming season will stream exclusively on Netflix, although the exact release date has not yet been announced. The platform has confirmed that Season 2 will arrive soon.
Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan will return as the show’s jailers, continuing the hosting partnership that became one of the key features of the first season.
The format places well-known personalities inside a specially designed jail environment where contestants, referred to as inmates, face tasks, confrontations and situations that test their relationships, strategies and willingness to speak openly about their lives.
Season 2 will introduce a completely new set of inmates, meaning viewers can expect fresh personalities and changing equations inside the jail.
The makers have indicated that the new season will retain the core identity of the format while introducing new stories, challenges and surprises designed to keep contestants and viewers guessing.
The first season generated considerable online conversation as contestants dealt with personal revelations, conflicts, friendships and changing alliances. Moments from the programme also travelled widely across social platforms, with content connected to the show generating more than 5 billion views across social media and word-of-mouth engagement.
The show's structure is built around putting celebrities in situations where their public image can come into conflict with their personal experiences. Contestants are expected to face questions about their past, relationships and decisions while simultaneously competing to survive inside the game.
The second season is being produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Manisha Sharma, with Malaya Pradhan continuing as showrunner.
The return of Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan also suggests that the jailer dynamic from the first season will remain central to the programme. Both will oversee the inmates as new tasks and twists reshape the competition.
The identities of the Season 2 contestants have not yet been officially revealed.
That is likely to become the biggest point of curiosity ahead of the premiere, with viewers waiting to see which celebrities will enter the jail this time.
While speculation around possible contestants is expected to increase as the launch approaches, only officially announced names should be treated as confirmed.
For now, the key announcement is clear: Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa Season 2 is coming soon to Netflix, with new inmates, new secrets and Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan once again taking charge of the jail.
